Parkour Week 2009 in St. Petersburg was very informative and brought a lot of interesting.

This time the organizers invited to the northern capital the leaders of London Parkour Academy “РarkourGenerations” – Dan Edwardes and Stephane Vigroux. For those who could not attend the event we prepared a short video report.

We will pay particular attention to different kinds of tricks and acrobatics performed in outdoor conditions. We grow and develop together with you and share our experience during training different environments. We are interested to explore ourselves and our physical abilities. We do understand parkour like the form of freedom, learning opportunities of our body and most important that this knowledge is gradual, not hurried, structural, step by step and reasonable in all areas of sports activity.

Moscow, Luzhniki. Summer 2009.

Within the sports festival in Moscow, organized with the support  of “Moskomsport”, Parkour Festival held . Special guests of this event were: Chau Belle Dinh, and Laurent Piemontesi (Yamakasi) – founders of the French Academy of Art Du Deplacement (ADD) Now the participants of  Majestic Force project. Anyone of the festival participants was given the opportunity to gain experience and skills from them.

We  captured on video some moments from the festival and also communicated with guests, so what is left over:

Hi Chiao, what are your impressions of the festival?

Organization is on high-level and people are very friendly. Most of the guys has very good physicаl trained body. But a lot of guys are moving too hard! They are trying by force to execute complex motion, excessively loading their muscles, thus loading the heart, which is extremely undesirable.

When we started practicing, we did not try to overcome an obstacle or make a leap for which we were not ready! You see with the naked eye that the majority is trying to do things for which they aren’t ready physically. If you are not ready so find another way to overcome this obstacle…

In this article, you will not find answers to all your questions. This article will help you make the steep “chips”, but I hope that each of you while reading it at least will think about what exactly he is engaged!
Let us cast away the history of the development of parkour and lets talk about its current situation in Russia.

Parkour (Parkour) – considered to be effective, rational, moving with a minimum expenditure of energy and time.Someone imagine parkour as a comprehensive development which includes classes in physical training, athletics, acrobatics and combat training.

Recently we can say that there are a lot of activity  such as: Freerun – type of activity, consisting in a spectacular overcome obstacles using of amazing acrobatic elements.

Street acrobatics (Acrostreet) – an activity which consists of performance the spectacular acrobatic elements on a plane and from the heights. Tricking (Martial Arts Tricks) – spectacular stunts and tricks also acrobatics performed on a flat surface.Parkour in comparing with this categories is different cause it has no clear systematization, evaluation system it implies the absolute freedom of movement. There are a conventional motions but they are individual because of the specificity, physiology and development of the body. Each person performs motion fits to himself while overcoming the obstacles . But  there are exceptions such as tremors, landings, flip-flops, without knowledge of the specific implementation you can irreparably harm  your health.
So how we understand what is parkour?
